Esta é a 1ª sessão de duas (em data a anunciar) onde se pretende debater o estado da arte das colecções e Museus de Arquitectura no panorama internacional com algumas das instituições de referência na área, e o futuro do(s) futuro(s) Museu(s) de Arquitectura em Portugal, num ano que irá inaugurar o MAAT – Museu de Arte, Arquitectura e Tecnologia em Lisboa, e se prevê a inauguração das novas instalações da Casa da Arquitectura em Matosinhos. A estes junta-se a mediatizada questão do destino tripartido do arquivo do arquitecto Álvaro Siza, entre a Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Serralves e o Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA).

This is the 1st session of two (date to be announced) which aims to discuss the state of the art of architectural collections and museums on the international scene with some of the leading institutions in the area, and the future of the future Museum(s) of Architecture in Portugal, in a year which will open the MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology in Lisbon, and it’s expected the opening of the new facilities of Casa da Arquitectura in Matosinhos. To this adds the mediatized question of the tripartite destination of the architect Alvaro Siza’s archive, between the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Serralves and the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA).
